Cloudmark Desktop for Microsoft Outlook Express is an anti-spam tool for this MS e-mail client.
The program will install itself as a plug-in, adding a new toolbar to your Outlook Express client. From that moment on, it will check your incoming e-mails for possible spam. Every message that the program judges as spam will be moved to the “Spam” folder, especially created for that purpose by this program. You can change this behavior, telling the program to ignore this folder and delete the spam immediately after being spotted, or keep the "Spam" folder and clean it periodically.

Cloudmark Desktop allows you to create a Smartlist with the Approved Senders – these are addresses whose messages will never be considered as spam.

Of course, you can also manually mark some messages as spam. When doing that, the program will not only perform whichever action you selected for spam messages, but will also send information about that message to the Cloudmark community. This way, similar messages will from then on be considered as spam by the program, and the whole community will get rid of those messages.

In order to become a member of the Cloudmark community, you will need to register for an annual fee. You can use Cloudmark Desktop without registering for fifteen days.
